The School Education Department of Punjab has officially notified about canceling an extension in the winter vacation 2024 across the province. Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed it on the social media platform ‘X, ‘ previously called Twitter. Now, the official notification is out.
There was a buzz on social media about whether the winter vacations would get an extension. The authorities have confirmed that the vacations will end on time. The schools will reopen on 10th January 2024; however, the timings will be revised. We have mentioned the new timings below.
In extreme winter weather, the Government has allowed the students to wear any clothing, cap, jacket, or sweater to keep themselves safe from winter. According to the official notification by the Government of Punjab, the school timings in Punjab have been changed.
Revised Timings for Winter Vacations 2024 in Punjab
From 10th January to 22nd January 2024, the educational institutes will begin from 9:30 am due to extreme weather conditions. From 23rd January 2024, normal school timings will resume. All the DEAs must ensure compliance with orders across the educational institutes of Punjab.
