On 2nd July 2021, parents came to the street again to protest for their school going children. According to the details, FDE took the decision not to shut down private schools. Due to this injustice, parents came out of their houses and started protesting against this. Not only this, they are also demanding to reduce the school fees. Due to COVID-19, everyone lives poorly from hand to mouth. Therefore, parents urge the government to waive off the school fee due to COVID-19 and announce summer break as well.
Due to the excessive hot temperature, students fainted and became ill. The Education Minister only announced summer vacation for government students. Therefore, the parents of private students start protesting against this injustice. The procession was led by the Parents’ Union President, Alamzeb Khan, former PPP MPA, Mehar Sultana, Legal Advisor, advocate Abbas Sangeen, and spokesman Shahid Niazi. They held banners and placards, demanding the provincial government to address their problems. One of the speakers said
This is an injustice with parents and children. We demand the minister for education and MD Private Schools Regulatory Authority to render resignations,” one of the speakers said.
