Green Eurobond of Pakistan
On Monday, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Pakistan First Green Eurobond during the launching ceremony as a chief guest. However, the PM congratulated WAPDA and the authority on this occasion.
Green Eurobond, also called Indus bond, is an initiative of WAPDA to raise the funding for Diamer Bhasha and Mohmand Dams. However, through this funding for the dams will be around 500 million dollars.
During the ceremony, the PM stated that we need Long-term projects. Without long-term projects, we can’t progress. He said that there hadn’t been any long-term project in Pakistan since 1985, due to which we couldn’t progress.

Other than that, he stated that we are aiming to build ten new dams in the next ten years. These dams will help to produce environmentally-friendly electricity and 10,000ME energy.
The PM also talked about the Billion Tree Tsunami Program and said that we had planted around 5 Billion trees in KPK. However, he announced plans to produce 10 billion trees in Pakistan by 2023.
