Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the MDCAT test was postponed. On Tuesday, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council conduct a meeting in this regard at the PMDC. After sharing an opinion, they decided to permit medical colleges and other PMDC affiliated universities to conduct entrance test for admission 2020. Many universities conducted MBBS and BDS exams as per routine.

One of the members approached the federal minister and requested that he not award an extra 3% marks to the students. He said that BDS and MBBS is a sensitive issue, so giving extra marks might disturb the overall merit. They also ordered that only those students are eligible to give exams who have completed his MBBS degree from China or other foreign countries. PMDC is unable to conduct exams of those candidates who have not finished his house job. For the protection of students, the MDCAT test will be held in three shifts.

PMDC also decided to conduct exams for those who have completed their MBSB from China and other countries.
