In a recent meeting, the government of Punjab decided on winter vacations with other senior representatives. After consulting with others, they finalized dividing the districts into two phases for the winter holidays. The winter holidays in the 24 districts of Punjab will begin from 24th December 2022 to 6th January 2023, while the vacations in the other 12 districts will commence from January 3 to January 13. The 24 districts which are nominated for December 23 to January January 6 vacations are Sahiwal, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Pakpattan, Sheikhupura, Okara, Vihari, Khanewal, Lahore, Khushab, Hafizabad, Multan, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Lodhran, Nankana Sahib and Jhang.
The other 12 districts where winter vacations shall start on January 3 and end on January 13 include Rajanpur, Leh, Jhelum, Mianwali, Attock, Muzaffargarh, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Rahim Yar Khan, DG Khan, Chiniot.
