On Tuesday, the government of Punjab decided to lessen 283 additional seats which added by the University of Health Science Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Javed Akram 10 years ago. However, Dr. Javed Akram said that they reduced 26 seats of MBBS and less 16 seats from BDS. Not only this, he said that around 3,621 candidates entered the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) programs last year.

He further added that last year, the majority of the number of seats reduced in medical colleges of South Punjab, Thus, the merit will increase as compared to last year. Earlier, the university of health and Sciences (UHS)issued the revised date sheet of BDS 2021. According to the revised calendar, the BDS annual exams will start from 03 February 2021 to 19 March 2021.
