Recently, PTCB took a decision regarding the Quran’s marks as compulsory subjects in Matric and intermediate. According to the decision, the Punjab board allocated 100 marks to the Quran Subject in SSC and HSSC. The Punjab Board will teach the Quran Translation to the Matric and intermediate Part I & II as a compulsory subject. Each paper in both parts has 50 marks, so the total marks for the Quran subject will be 100. The Punjab board also stated that non-muslim students will Ethic subjects in Matric and intermediate.
Around a month ago, the Punjab Government instructed all Punjab boards to take proper measurements to include the Quran Translation subject in SSC & HSSC curriculum. The government also asked the board to formulate a numbering formula for the Quran subject. Now, Punjab has completed the task and announced the total marks for the Quran subjects.
