On 23 December 2020, HED Punjab issued a notification regarding winter vacations in the province. According to the statement, the winter vacation will be from 25-12-2020 to 10-01 2021.
The department stated that this notification is according to the government’s decision on 24 November 2020. So, all public, private schools and academies will remain close till 10 January 2021. Thus, now schools will reopen on 11 January 2021.
The HED has sent this notice to all concerned departments and authorities.
Federal minister Decision
On 24 November 2020, the Federal minister announced to close all institutes from 26 November 2020 due to COVID-19. According to his statement, institutes will take online classes till 24 December 2020. Then till 10 January, there will be winter vacations in the province. Federal Education Minister took this decision after the meeting with education ministers of all provinces.
