According to a recent news article, the Health expert warned the government about reopening the educational institutes from next week. Experts said the government made this decision in haste. They compared the current situation with last year’s condition and stated that this year’s situation is more complicated than before. 

Last Year condition

Last year, in September 2020, the government opened the institutes in three phases. At that time, there were no more than 50 cases in twin cities. But after October 2020, cases increased, and around 140 cases were reported as COVID-19 positive. After that, in November 2020, there were 420 cases in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Current Condition

Thus, the experts stated that the current situation is worse than October 2020. In addition, there are around 3833 COVID patients in twin cities at this time. Thus, health experts asked the government to reconsider the decision to reopen the institutes from next week.
