Final Schedule of reopening Institutes after Meeting
Today, Shafqat Mahmood arranged a press conference after the meeting with Educational and health ministers. In conference, he announced the final decision taken in the meeting about reopening the educational institutes.
Thus, after reviewing the complete situation, the government finalizes the previously planned schedule. So, all the institutes will open according to the following schedule.
- The students of grade 9-12 will come to the institutes from 18 January 2021.
- Middle section will join the institutes 01 February 2021.
- While the universities will reopen on 01 February 2021.
- Primary schools will also open from 01 February 2021
However, Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas also tweeted the same schedule.
Other decisions
Other than schedule, the ministers also decided and finalize some other matters, such as:
- All the ministers decided not to pass/promote any student to the next grade without exams.
- Before the primary and higher education institutes opening, the NCOC will evaluate the situation again.
Other than that Shafqat Mahmood also gave the reason to call 9-12 students early. He said that we call them early because their annual exams will start from May, June. Thus, by coming to the schools, they will be able to learn properly.
