On implementing SNC for primary classes, the former Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani opposed it. He stated that the center shouldn’t interfere in these matters. Its’ provincial government’s responsibility to improve education.
He further stated that it is not mandatory for Sindh to implement SNC. The single National curriculum is a dream of PM Imran Khan and is being implemented in Punjab. He said that choosing the curriculum is the responsibility of provinces, not the federal government.
He also added that the government should give the parents or children an option to select the English/Urdy medium according to their choice.
On the contrary, the Punjab government appreciates the SNC and implements it for the primary classes this year. However, to make this program successful, the government trained the Public and private teachers according to the SNC pattern. The purpose of that training was to educate the teachers so that they will be able to teach the students properly.
