Sindh Government Decided for Medical Council
According to news, the Sindh government decided to establish its council to regulate the medical affairs of the province. In her talk, Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra talked about this matter in detail. She said that the government is working on the bill to establish a medical council, “Sindh Medical and Dental Council”.
She said that we took this decision on the establishment of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) by abolishing PMDC. According to her, it is not the right decision for the federal government. Due to this reason, the Sindh government decided to make SMDC and will be on the provincial assembly’s table very soon.

She also said that instead of making PMC, the federal government should make reforms for the better working. The Federal board must be handed over this decision of PMC to the Council of Common Interest (CCI).
Sindh High Court ordered to postpone the provincial and federal tests for the admissions. She is hopeful that the court will take the matter of reservation of small provinces under consideration. Small provinces wanted more seats for their own students in medical and dental colleges.
Under all these circumstances, the Sindh Government is going to establish the Sindh Dental and Medical Council.
