Sindh Higher Education Minister is going to offer an outstanding scholarship for university students. They awarded Rs 40 Million scholarships to deserving university (private and public sector) students. Syed Murad Ali Shah on Thursday chaired the meeting with Sindh HEC and vice-chancellors of public universities at the CM House.
In a meeting, they finalized to offer merit-cum-need basis scholarship to BS/MS/M.Phil/Ph.D students of public universities. After checking the current financial status of applicants, they select the deserving candidates

Apart from this, the chief minister distributed Rs25 million cheques among five universities in rural areas. They want to establish Information Technology labs. The five universities include Shikarpur’s Shaikh Ayaz University, Begum Nusrat Bhutto Women University in Sukkur, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development in Khairpur, Government College University in Hyderabad and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University in Karachi.
Also, Sindh HE introduced the programme to fund smart classrooms in all public sector universities, according to the statement. In the first phase, the commission has approved funding to seven newly established universities.
