The University of Peace (UPEACE) fully-funded scholarships 2020

The University of Peace is a university in Costa Rica, a country in Central America, offering fully-funded scholarships for those international students who want to continue their Master’s degree in peacebuilding subjects.

These scholarships, also known as the Asian Peacebuilder Scholarships (APS), are the initiative of the University of Peace (UPEACE), Ateneo de Manila University, and the Nippon Foundation having an objective to train Asian Young Professionals. This program (APS) also provides special language training, which assists the professionals to participate with a lower level of proficiency in English.

Candidates will be able to study in Costa Rica or the Philippines according to their selected Master’s degree.

Duration of the courses  

The maximum duration of the Master’s degree is 1- 1.5 years ( depends on the program and English proficiency).

Available fields/subjects

There are two degrees under APS from two different universities that are

• Master of Arts Degree from UPEACE
• Master in transdisciplinary Social development from Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) 

UPEACE Scholarship covers

• Full tuition fee
• Traveling cost (Airfare)
• Cost of visa for all program components
• Monthly stipend

• Letter of recommendation (AdMU Letter of Recommendation)
• Statement of purpose
•  All academic Transcripts
• Diploma (certificate of Graduation)
• CV/Resume
• Passport copy
• Passport-sized photo
