UET & NAVTTC short courses
University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore and National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) regional office Lahore have joined hands together under Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program to provide training courses to an educated unemployed youth of the country. Not only the program is free of charge, but attendees are also offered a monthly stipend of two thousand rupees as an incentive. This initiative is beneficial in motivating youth to join the training and equip themselves with trending in-market skills. This training program is beneficial for trainees, their families and is also helpful to overcome the acute shortage of skilled manpower in our country.
Keeping in view the current trend of unemployment and shortage of skilled people this is a much-needed step in the right direction. Every passing year students are passing out from universities and institutes having degrees and diplomas, but the problem is that they don’t have any technical skills in their hands which ultimately results in increased unemployment. The industries and businesses are in need of skilled manpower, which is not met by the output of the educational institutions and the result is a heap of educated but unskilled & unemployed youth.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the course registration candidates need to fulfill below-mentioned criteria:
• Minimum educational qualification of matriculation/intermediate
• Fall within an age bracket of 18-35 years
How to Apply:
Candidates can enroll in the course of their interest by filling the form downloadable from UET or NAVTTC website or application to the director/Manager of the Institute on plain paper along with below-mentioned documents
• Attested copy of Candidates CNIC
• Attested copies of educational certificates
• Three passports sized pictures
Selected candidates will be called for interviews and a list of selected candidates for both batches will be available on the notice board of the institute. Further details regarding the application procedure, interviews, selection criteria, and class schedule can be obtained by the institute office on-call or by visiting in person.
