According to the latest notification, District administration Rawalpindi decided to shut down all schools and offices in the district Rawalpindi. The purpose of closing schools and offices for four days is due to the occasion of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting. In the notification, they clearly stated to close schools and offices from March 21 to March 24. Hence the public holiday will observe all over Rawalpindi from March 20 to March 23.

This is amazing news for the Rawalpindi citizens to enjoy 4 consecutive holidays from 20 (Sunday), 21 (Monday), 22 (Tuesday), and 23 (Wednesday). Not only foreign minister appears in the meeting, but also Pakistan Day is coming on 23rd March. Pakistan will organize the 48th session of the OIC CFM meeting in Islamabad on 22 and 23 March. Foreign Ministers of all Muslim countries will participate in the meeting. The purpose of the OIC meeting is to solve the solution and increase mutual cooperation between Muslim countries for the collective benefit of all Muslims. It is also pertinent to mention that the OIC CFM meeting will coincide with the Pakistan Day Parade. All visiting delegations have also been invited to the Pakistan Day Parade and they will witness the parade as the ‘guest of honor.’
