Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently stated to establish a women’s university in Karachi. For this purpose, the federal government will collaborate with Sindh provincial government and make the project of a women’s university in Karachi successful.
According to the details, the Federal government will bear the expenses of construction and hiring faculty members. However, the Provincial government will be responsible for Land and other related matters.

At the same time, the Sindh government has suggested the names of some colleges that could be converted into Women’s universities. The names of those suggested colleges are below.
- Khatoon-e-Pakistan Girls College
- APWA Girls College
- Govt Girls College North Namizabad
Now, the federal and Sindh governments will work together on establishing the university in Karachi. Other than this, the PM assured that the federal government would work for the welfare of the Sindh residents during his meeting with the MQM-P leaders.
