On Tuesday, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) selected team visited 03 universities. The aim of the visit is to see the HEC recognized university performance through Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) and Postgraduate Programme Review (PGPR). The HEC team evaluated the universities during three days and assessed the varsities by Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
Evaluated universities
Recently, HEC visited the following universities for the Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE).
- The University of Gujrat
- The University of Lakki Marwat
- Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University, Larkana
Other than these institutes, HEC decided to evaluate the 15 institutes till June 2021.
Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE)
During the Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE), HEC checks the university performance according to the 11 IPE Standards. Those 11 IPEstandatds are:

- Organization and Governance
- Integrity
- Faculty
- Students
- Institutional Resources
- Academic program and Curricula
- Public Disclosure and Transparency
- Assessment and Quality Assurance

Postgraduate Programme Review (PGPR)
During Postgraduate Programme Review (PGPR), the commission checks that either the institutes follow the HEC criteria to start MA/M.Phil and Doctoral Degrees. Thus, IPE and PGPR’s primary purpose is to make the universities’ performances better with excellent quality.
