PMC Increased Public Colleges Seats
On 24 February 2021, Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) issued a notification regarding the clarification of different Quota Seats. In the notice, PMC stated that the commission had increased 586 seats in all public colleges of all provinces. The reason is to provide the HEC scholarships to the Balochistan and FATA Students.
However, PMC also clarified that the commission provides authority to the provinces to allocate quotas in the public colleges. Provinces received this authority under PMC Act 2020. Other than that, HEC also has the right to assign these quotas in every province independently.
The final list of admitted students
With all these things, PMC asked the public colleges to issue the final list of students admitted to the HEC Scholarship. This step of the universities will help the HEC and provincial authorities to make the decision. Thus, the universities have to submit/issue the list by 22 March 2021.
