On 8th March 2021, the National Command and Operation Center NCOC conducted a meeting regarding the resumption of classes due to an increase in COVID-19 cases. Many other members participated in this meeting. NCOC after getting suggestions from other members came to the point that schools might close again. He stated that after reviewing the current situation of COVID-19 and after receiving a higher positivity COVID-19 report update from the health department, we might make a decision to shut down the education institutes. Earlier, Shafqat Mehmood decided that all educational institutions across the country will resume regular five days week classes from March 1. Apart from this, NCOC strictly ordered all students to follow precautionary measures such as wear masks and maintain social distance in order to protect themselves from the lethal virus.
Moreover, the session will be held again in April to take the decision about the resumption of the academic activities and the regular classes in all the provinces across Pakistan. The coronavirus once again rose to the top. Due to COVID-19, the schools have remained closed for prolonged vacation. But NCOC after conducting the second meeting will take decisions regarding the school closure.
