Cambridge Students Request Court for Decision to Hold Exams
On April 06, Federal Education Minister, Shafqat Mehmood announced that O and A level exams conducted as per previous schedule. However, the physical exams from grade 1 to 8 got cancelled. After this decision, the majority of A and O level students urged the government to postpone their exams due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, students approach the Sindh High Court for a decision. However, the Sindh High Court reviewed the issued notices of the Cambridge Assessment International Education and the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
As per details, O and AS level exams will begin on April 26 and the O level exams will be from May 10 as per schedule. The petition asked why the government conducted the physical examination in this severe coronavirus pandemic. Protecting students from COVID-19 is our foremost duty. So, the government and SHC must take good decisions to postpone these physical examinations of O and A level.
