We have a piece of good news to share with all the students who quit their matric and intermediate education due to poor financial backgrounds. The Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, took decision to offer free education upto graduation level in the various government institutions. The Chief Minister announced this decision on the 75th Independence Day of Pakistan. Earlier, CM Punjab hoisted the national flag in an official ceremony held at Lahore Fort to celebrate 75th Independence Day. On this occasion, Chief Minister Punjab said that education would be free upto matric. Still, now education will be made free up to graduation, institutions for special children, and sports facilities will be increased.
In the ceremony, they stated that primary to matric level education was made free during his last tenure from 2002 to 2007. Besides this, CM Punjab also paid a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces and police who sacrificed their lives fighting terrorism. He said that it is due to the sacrifices made by the armed forces and police that we live in a peaceful environment after the terrorism affected Pakistan.
