The Punjab School Education Department issued a new notification for teachers. According to the details, the Punjab SED ordered all Punjab School Teachers not to run the Youtube channel . Teachers who are using Youtube channels will ban from schools. For this purpose, SED also making a list of teachers who are currently running the Youtube channels. The department has ordered relevant authorities to watch these teachers’ activities.
An official of the SED said that it is now against the school policy. Therefore, teachers are not allowed to make and run non-educational YouTube channels. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against teachers violating the law. Punjab SED ordered to stop this activity as they divert the attention of teachers due to unrestricted use of social media.
In the previous year, Punjab’s Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) Colleges imposed a ban on the employees of government colleges from using social networking platforms and speaking with the media.
