The School Education Department Punjab recently sent a summary to the provincial cabinet regarding regulating private schools. For this purpose, the Punjab Government will make new laws and follow them to regulate the private institutes. After approval of the summary by the Punjab Govt, the Department will present the Draft bill according to the sent summary in front of the Punjab Assembly.
After all these processes, if the Punjab assembly approves the suggestion, then Punjab Private Educational Institutions Authority will establish. The Private institutes’ authority will be responsible for handling all the matters of the Punjab Private institutes.
The Punjab Education Minister spoke about regulating private schools as most private institutes are becoming mafia. He stated that since 1984, any government has had no amendment to the Private schools Act. So, the newly established authority will look over the institutes according to the law.
