There were rumors regarding the increase in Winter Vacation for 2022 across Punjab. But there wasn’t any official confirmation from the educational authorities on this matter.
Today, an order from Lahore High Court on an increase in Winter Holidays. A petition was under hearing in Lahore High Court. As a result, the court has ordered to increase the Winter Holidays up to 8th January 2023. Initially, the holidays were till 1st January 2023.
This notification will be applicable to all the Public and Private Schools & Colleges located in Punjab.
But do you know, why the court has to reach this decision? The reason for extending the Winter Holidays was the situation of Smog in various cities of Punjab, particularly Lahore, Faisalabad & several others.
