During the 29th Academic Council meeting of UHS on Monday, the UHS decided to update the medical and dental college curriculum. The meeting was held at UHS Jinnah Campus, Kala shah Kaku where UHS VC chaired the meeting. During the meeting, Vc, Stated that it’s UHS’s responsibility to improve the medical and dental curricula according to modern requirements.
In this regard, he further stated that we had made a supervisory committee. Thus, that committee will provide some recommendations regarding the up-gradation of the curriculum soon. Other than that, he also said that some experts are in favor of a modular system. While others are on an annually based system.
Upon the research topic, VC stated that we had published 64 papers during the COVID-19. However, our work has been recognized internationally. At the same time, he also informed participants that UHS’ all teaching departments has shifted to the Junnajh campus. Despite the curriculum, UHD VC also announced plans to establish a medical and dental college and research hospital in the new campus.
After the meeting, UHS and Punjab Forest Department signed an MoU and became a part of the Clean Green Pakistan Program.
