Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training has issued the law of adding the subject of Biology for the students of Pre-Engineering. The students now can choose the additional subject of Biology.
The decision is taken by the requests of students received on the citizen portal. The students requested the authorities to add the subject of Biology so that they can switch to Pre-Medical. FBISE provided the students of Pre-Medical this facility that they can opt an additional subject of Mathematics, but this was not the case for the Pre-Engineering students. The Pre-Engineering students were not allowed to choose Biology, and so they were not allowed to go into the medical field.
After receiving the complaints on the online citizen portal, the ministry considered the matter seriously and took notice of all the pre-requisites. The National Curriculum Council (NCC) after going through all the details approved the proposal. The students would be able to choose the subject of Biology from the next academic year.
The notification has been signed on October 31, and it has been distributed to all the public and private schools affiliated to FBISE. All the colleges and institutions must abide by this rule. The policy is approved only for the FBISE and FBISE is the first board who took this initiative.
The addition of Biology as an additional subject is a good step taken by the Federal Board. The students are happy over the news because their efforts have brought the fruit.
