The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party has finally approved the ‘Punjab Rozgar Scheme.’ Its estimated cost is 9500.00 million at P & D Complex, Lahore. The main purpose of this scheme is to reduce poverty, unemployment, and drive economic stability by facilitating new micro and small entrepreneurs and existing businesses in Punjab due to the current financial issue of COVID-19.In response to the existing financial instability occur by the coronavirus, the Punjab government tried to enable youngsters to start their own business in the backdrop of economic challenges.

The Punjab government is taking steps to educate the youth of the province in the right direction. Not only Pakistan but also the entire world is facing a tough time. So, we should try to deal with the ongoing crisis and to create golden opportunities for youngsters that can lead them towards employment and economic development. However, Punjab Small Industry Cooperation has recently signed an agreement with the Bank of Punjab for the execution of the scheme. The Punjab Rozgar Scheme has targeted different university & TEVTA graduates with technical/vocational training, artisans, and existing businesses.

During the session, the Chairman P & D Board Hamid Yaqoob Sheikh chaired PDWP gave the best remarks about this scheme and called it an initial step of Government of Punjab that would promote new small startups and entrepreneurs and existing businesses through financial support.

Moreover, all members of the P & D Board, Provincial Secretaries of concerned departments, Senior Chief Javed Latif, and many other senior representatives of the Provincial Departments also attended the meeting.
