According to the latest notification, it is to inform all that Allama Iqbal Open University AIOU introduce and set the time frame for the degree completion. They implement a time-barred policy for the completion of all degree programs from Semester spring 2021. The purpose of implementing this is to ensure quality education. As per details, the prospective candidates and continuing students of the university are required to complete their educational program within the stipulated time limit. Now if any student fails to complete the program in a given time then he/she may apply again for fresh admission.
As per the new policy, the time duration for completion of matric and Intermediate is 2 years (four semesters) while the duration of completing the Associate degree program for 2 years must be completed or in a maximum of four years. Check out the detailed time duration of all programs given below.

According to the new policy of the Higher Education Commission, all Master degree level programs are discontinued after the spring semester of 2021, therefore students who had taken admission in MA / MSc / M.Ed programs in the spring semester of 2021 or earlier are required to complete their program by the autumn semester 2025. It is also pertinent to mention that the university will neither extend time duration nor provide any relief to the students failing to complete their degrees by 2025.
