The Allama Iqbal Open University conducted an online meeting with the regional directors to discuss students’ problems in that particular region. Around 54 regional directors took part in the meeting through a video conference link. After consulting with all regional directors, the Vice Chancellor of AIOU, Prof. Dr Nasir Mehmood, decided to introduce the bridging semester from Spring semester 2023. Students can take admitted in the fifth semester after completing any associate degree or two-year graduate degree program. VC, AIOU, and Prof. Dr Nasir Mahmood said that our main mission is to increase literacy. They also appreciate the efforts of the former Vice Chancellor, Dr Zia Ul-Qayyum. He played an important role in providing quality education and giving all possible facilities to the students.

Director General Regional Services Dr Malik Tauqir Ahmed Khan said that the directorate regularly monitors the performance of the regional offices, and we also get weekly reports from the region.
