After reviewing the current COVID-19 situation, it might be impossible to schedule exams in March. Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood conducted a regional meeting on 4th January 2021. In a recent TV Channel, the Federal Minister for Education said that the main reason for conducting this meeting is to decide the reopening of educational institutions across Pakistan. However, the institutions will only open after examining the current situation of COVID-19. The federal minister also discussed other matters regarding health updates of each province, schedule of annual board exams, and reduction in the summer and spring vacations. However, the summer holidays are less this year.
In addition to that, 2020 considered the challenging year in Pakistan and the whole world. The majority of institutions, offices, and markets were closed all over the world. One thing which badly affects COVID-19 is the educational system. Students across the globe sit home and take online classes. Other than that, to protect students from coronavirus, it might be useful to postpone the annual board exam and not conduct it in March.
