Bahawalpur Board is authorized for organizing Matric and Intermediate examination which covers the Bahawalpur division which includes districts likes Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan. Since 1998, the board is fulfilling its responsibilities as an educational body, under the supervision of Punjab board. It conducts Matric and Intermediate examination every year and a large number of students from government or private institutions participate in their corresponding exams. The examinations were also arranged by following the same schedule for the year 2019. All the government and private schools and colleges from Bahawalpur and nearby districts too are affiliated to the BWP board.
Soon after the exams, the papers are checked by highly qualified teachers and the result is prepared within two months. Firstly the result is shown on the official website and after some weeks the result card of students is posted on to the mentioned addresses by the students.
After the official announcement of results, the supplementary examination for abortive students starts so that students can enhance their scores and the result of supplementary exams will also be uploaded on the formal portal of the BWP board.
