The Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, conducted a press conference to shed light on the spread of Pneumonia in children across the province. Due to severe weather and Pneumonia conditions across Punjab, the Government has decided to extend the Winter vacation of KG to Prep class students till 19 January 2024.
However, regular classes for the students of 1 to 10 classes have resumed from 10 January 2024. It will go on like that. But at the same time, the school timings have been revised. Now, the schools will open at 9:30 am.
No school assembly will be conducted till 31 January 2024 to save the students from mishaps. Moreover, the Government has decided to issue some SOPs for the safety of students from Pneumonia. Students must wear masks. The parents are advised to avoid sending their children to school if they suffer from bad throat, fever, asthma, or other respiratory problems.
Moreover, students can wear any weather jacket, gloves, caps, or other warm stuff to keep themselves safe. This relaxation is allowed till the month’s end.
