The Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education FBISE officially introduced the new system in the board examination. According to the details, FBISE abolished the marking system and introduced the GPA system on a scale of 1-5. They will not show the exact marks on the result card of students. In the notification, they clearly stated that the FBISE would communicate in a phased manner results of and levels in the grading system instead of absolute marks to stop the culture of race of marks. Hence, the grading system for classes 9th and 11th will be implemented from Annual Examinations 2023 and for classes 10th and 12th from Annual Examinations 2024. Subsequently, the results of the Annual Examination 2025 will be communicated only in Grades, GPA, and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).
