On 18th March 2021, Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education FBISE introduced a new policy. The applicant who is going to appear in matric and Intermediate examination should check this policy before sitting in the Annual board examination. As per the issued policy, the federal board will split the subjects over two years so that the maximum time provided to the students to cover their syllabus. They facilitate students to choose the subject in the first and second years. This decision taken during the meeting of the Board of governor. Apart from this, some proposals initiated to facilitate the students.
Other than that, the competency-based exams should be conducted at the grade. However, in such examinations the key subjects are tested to guide the students about the basic concepts of the subject. The authority now gives full freedom allowing the students to improve the whole subjects or one/two subjects according to their requirements.
Students are now able to select the unbundling scheme of studies and the students can choose combinations of various subjects for example biology with economics and mathematics, chemistry with environmental sciences.
