New Policy Announced 40% Marks Required to Pass the Exam
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced a new policy for the promotion of the students in the next class. Now, the students must obtain a minimum of 40% marks and attain a minimum of 75% class attendance to be promoted in the next class. A notification has been issued in this regard. This new policy applies to approximately 424 schools and colleges in Islamabad.
The student who fails in two or more subjects would declare to be failed. The student must get 40% marks in each subject.
Federal Directorate of Education has also issued one more notification. FDE has divided the subjects from class five to class nine into two different categories.
Category-I
In case a student failed in any subject along-with English, he/she will have to get a minimum of 40% or above marks to promote in the next class.
Category-II
Category-II also bounded the students to obtain at least 25% marks in that subjects in which he/she failed to promote to the next class.
