On 29th April 2021, Government College University announced the great news for post-graduate and doctoral students. According to the details, it to inform all that GCU offer salaries to postgraduate students to attract the brightest minds from across the world from September 2021. However, the top students will not only get the monthly salary but also get fee concession in their semesters. They awarded 40, 000 PKR/- to M.Phil students and 60,000 Rs to Ph.D. students plus a fee waiver. The required funds will be generated from additional seats in the undergraduate programs.
Vice-Chancellor of GCU Prof Dr. Asghar Zaidi in a recent press conference stated that there is a strong competition between Mphil students. Moreover, the selected postgraduate students requested to teach two courses per semester related to their research topic. Through this, they will get the idea of teaching. GCU start to award salaries from September 2021
