Recently, the Standing Committee of the Senate on National Health approved the PMDC 2022 and PIMS 2022 Bills. So, now the PMC has been dissolved after the approval of the PMDC Bill by the Health Committee. Thus, there will be no National but Provincial MDCAt 2022. At the same time, the National Licensing Exams (NLE) have also been abolished for Pakistani Doctors after the approval of the PMDC Bill 2022.

MDCAT 2022
Regarding the MDCAT 2022, the Health Minister, Abdul Qadir Patel, stated that the MDCAT would be on a provincial rather than the national level. So, the provincial Public Universities will conduct the MDCAT for the concerned provinces. All the MDCAT-related tasks such as exams, results, and others will be managed by the universities that will be incharge of the MDCAT in each province.
MDCAT 2022 conducted by Provincial Institutes
The provincial Public universities that will conduct the MDCAT in each province will be:
- In Punjab, UHS (University of Health Sciences) will conduct the MDCAT.
- KMU (Khyber Medical University) will be responsible for the MDCAT in KPK.’
- Sindh Government will conduct the MDCAT separately.
