HEC Scholarship 2021 For Srilankan Students
Under a new initiative, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) announced the 250 scholarships for the Srilankan Students in AIOU. The commission announced these scholarships under the Pakistan-Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation Program. However, through this program, the university will offer 1000 scholarships in the next five years. Thus, candidates having Sri-Lankan nationality can apply for the scholarship. AIOU offers scholarships in various disciplines. Thus, the last date to apply for the scholarship is 15 June 2021.

Eligibility Criteria for HEC Srilankan Scholarship
- Candidates must have Sri-Lankan nationality only.
- For undergraduate programs, the age limit is 17-22 years, while for graduate and doctoral degrees, the maximum age is 35 years.
- For the undergraduate degrees, candidates must have GCE A-levels qualifications. However, for MS degrees, the required qualification is 16 years, while for Ph.D., 18 years qualification is required.
How to Apply for the Scholarship
- Interested candidates can apply through the HEC website.
- Registered candidates will appear in the test organized by HEC in Colombo and the government of Sri Lanka.
- The last date is 15 June 2021.
