China has announced some scholarships for international students, including Pakistani students. China Scholarship Council (CSC) will be responsible for the enrollment of students in different universities on a scholarship basis.
Chinese Government announces admissions for the programs of Science, Literature, Medicine, Economics, Education, History, Management, Legal Studies, Fine Arts, and Philosophy.

Scholarship Programs:
Chinese Government Scholarship programs consist of two programs which are as under:
- Bilateral Program
- Chinese University Program
Bilateral Program:
This program is for undergraduate, graduate, general scholars, and senior scholars. According to this program, the students will be able to study on full or partial scholarship with the educational exchange agreements between the Chinese Government and governments of other countries.
Chinese University Program:
This program covers only graduate students. Under these programs, students can take admission in certain designated universities. This program offers a full scholarship.
Other Programs:
CSC also offers other programs including EU Program, Great Wall Program, PIF Program, AUN Program, and WMO Programs, etc.

Supporting Categories:
CSC supports international students, teachers, and students to take degree courses (bachelor, masters or Ph.D.) in any of the institutions of higher education in China.

Coverage & Stipend:
Full Scholarship:
- The Tuition fee will be adjusted by the host university and also the student activities fee.
- Free Accommodation subsidy
- If the university provides accommodation in the university, it usually offers a twin room.
- And if the student lives off-campus, the university will provide the student with the monthly/quarterly accommodation subsidy.
- The students will be provided monthly stipends.
- Undergraduate Students: CNY 2,500 per month;
- Masters’ Students/General Scholars: CNY 3,000 per month
- Doctoral Students/Senior Scholars: CNY 3,500 per month
Partial Scholarship:
There may be one or more items of those mentioned-above of the scholarship
How to Apply:
For Bilateral Programs:
Education and Professional Training of Pakistan will select and recommend the Bilateral Candidates to the CSC. The Chinese Embassy has this rule that it doesn’t accept individual applications. Last Date to apply for Bilateral Programs is March 31st, 2020. All the candidates are advised to apply online.
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China.
- The applicant must be a high school graduate with the age of under 25 years when applying for the undergraduate programs.
- The applicant must be a holder of a Bachelor’s degree with the age of under 35 when applying for a Master’s program.
- The applicant must be a holder of a Master’s degree with the age of under 40 when applying for Doctoral Programs.
- When applying for General Scholar Programs, the candidate must be under the age of 45 and have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies.
- When applying for Senior Scholar Programs, the candidate must be a holder of a Master’s degree or an Associate Professor, and he/she must be under the age of 50.

- Notarized Highest Diploma
- Academic Transcripts
- Research Proposal in English or Chinese
- Recommendation Letters
- Two sketches, two oil paintings, and other work for the applicants of Fine Arts
- Valid documents of legal guardians for the applicants under 18
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examinations
- Language qualification certificate (HSK certificates, TOFEL or IELTS)
- Photocopy of valid passport information
