HEC Clarified Rumour About Deferment of Degrees
On 06 July 2021, the Higher Education Commission issued a notification on Twitter to clarify all rumors. HEC Stated that all the news on social media regarding the postponement of 04-years undergraduate and 02 years AD Degree are false. So, there is a notification on 02 July 2021 on this topic that is not true.
HEC further stated that these degrees would continue without any changes. So, the decision to start Associate degrees instead of BA/BSc and phase out MA/MSc degrees is still valid.
However, there was a meeting on 02 July 2021 of all VCs who wanted to discuss certain issues in the undergraduate policy. During the meeting, they debated various issues and gave some suggestions/recommendations to modify the policy.
However, now the VCs committee will hold a meeting in the fourth week of July for three days. During that meeting, they will solve the issues and provide practicable solutions. However, below is the complete HEC notification about it.
