HEC GCF 2021 for Submission of Research Proposals
On 19 April 2021, the Higher Education Commission announced a funding project, Grand Challenge Fund (GCF), for the submission of Research proposals . For this program, the faculty members of all private and public universities are eligible to submit their research proposals. However, the commission will select the candidates according to the selection criteria. However, for the GCF, HEC will provide Rs 15-225 million funding for a maximum project duration of 03 years. Thus, interested candidates can submit their research proposals by 23 May 2021.
Eligibility Criteria for HEC-GCF
- For the Grand Challenge Fund (GCF) program, the applicants should be faculty members of universities having PhD., FCPS/MCPS or equivalent qualification.
GCF Grant
Under the HEC GCF program, the funding amount will be up to Rs 15-225 million with a maximum project duration of three years.

How to Apply for GCF
- Candidates have to submit their research proposals for the Grand Challenge Fund (GCF) program. The Application must be according to the prescribed template available on the HEC website. (http://hec.gov.pk/site/GCF).
- Before submission of the online application, carefully read all instructions and complete the application carefully.
- The last date to submit the proposal for the HEC GCF Program is 23 May 2021.
