On 2nd May 2021, the Higher Education Department invited applications for scholarships for the year 2021. They announce postgraduate Scholarships for students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA. The deserving applicants of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA who stopped their higher education due to poor financial background will now have a chance to apply for MS/MPhil programs in local HEC recognized universities. This scholarship is totally merit-based. Moreover, they offered MS programs for all Disciplines under the project “Provision of Higher Education opportunities for the students of Balochistan and FATA”. HEC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria:
- The candidate who meets the following below mentioned criteria are eligible to apply
- Only students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA eligible to apply
- Applicant age must be 35 years
- completed 16 years of education with at least 60% marks.
- Those candidates who already get the scholarship are not eligible

HEC Scholarship Benefits:
This Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA scholarship offered by HEC covers the following benefits. The details are as under
- Tuition fee and other charges (including Hostel Fee) maximum PKR: 60,000/- per semester
- Living allowance of Rs: 9,000 per month
- Books allowance of Rs.6,000 per annum.
- Traveling allowance of Rs.5,000 per annum.
- Initial settlement allowance of Rs.10,000 once.
Applying Procedure:-
- Applicants who wish to apply should visit the official HEC website.
- Hard Copies will not be entertained.
- HEC has the complete right to postpone or cancel the scholarship process at any stage without assigning any reason.
- Applicants required to deposit Rs: 500/- (non-refundable) as application fee in HBL Account no 1742-79001334-01 and should upload the scanned copy/image online while applying.
