On 28th January 2021, the news of online exam approval is circulating on the social media platform. After a complete investigation, HEC officially announced that they haven’t announced any decision regarding online exams. However, HEC rejected the approval for the conduction of online exams. Someone is spreading the fake news. Therefore, HEC makes it clear by issued the latest notification.
Someone posted fake news that Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood advised all University VC’s to conduct online exams, which is quite fake news. Due to this shameful act, HEC decided to take any action on this vital document. Taking action on the viral document, the HEC clarified it did not issue any such notification. An HEC spokesperson told the media that the Commission advised universities to “conduct exams based on their capacity and need for a fair assessment.”HEC didn’t take any decision.

However, the decision is under consideration. Apart from this, The varsities were directed to take stock of their “exam readiness,” i.e., technological readiness, managerial capacity, and the announced policy, and choose the best possible mode of assessment.
