The Higher Education Commission open the applications for the Research Award Competition 2023. For the competition, Pakistani researchers and scholars applications. The HEC Research Awards Competition 2023 aims to recognize excellence in research, Contribute to intellectual development, and promote high-impact publications. However, below are details about the awards categories and eligibility criteria. However, the last date for the HEC Research Award is 26 April 2023.
HEC Research Award 2023 Categories
The higher Education Commission will provide the awards in three categories.
- Best Researcher
- Best Young Researcher
- Best Publication
Eligibility Criteria for the HEC Research Award 2023
Below are the general and category-wise eligibility criteria to participate in the HEC Research Awards competition 2023.
General Criteria
- Candidates must never be blocklisted by the HEC.
- Those candidates/publications that didn’t receive the awards earlier.
- Non-plagiarized publications
Criteria for Best Researcher
- Applicants must be a Pakistani residents for at least 03 years on 01 January 2023

Criteria for Best Young Researcher
- Age: Maximum 40 years on 01 January 2023
- Applicants must be a Pakistani residents for at least 03 years on 01 January 2023
Criteria for Best Publication
- It must be a scholarly book or Journal Article
- Publication must not be more than three years; on 01 January 2023
- Written by a maximum of three authors.
- The author must be a Pakistani resident for at least 03 years on 01 January 2023
- Research articles published only in a W-Category Journal in HJRS.
- Minimum 100 citations
- A recognized academic press must publish the book

- Visit the HEC website and apply online through the HEC portal.
- Complete the form and submit the button.
