Since last month, the government has been thinking of opening educational institutes. For this purpose, the government is suggesting different methods to finalize this matter.
Now the Higher Education Department HED Punjab announced to reopen all intermediate and degree colleges in the province. According to the sources, the colleges will resume from the 1st week of August. But all classes will not be allowed to come at once. For this, the government prepared a schedule/timeline according to which classes will start.
Timeline to Reopen the Inter and Degree Colleges:
According to the suggestions, colleges will open with the guidance of the following plan or timeline:
- On 5 August 2020, BS (Hons) classes will start on-campus
- On 15 August 2020, MA/MSc student will able to come
- On 25 August 2020, students of intermediate can come to the campus
Timing of the on-campus classes
With the suggested dates, time for the classes also given according to which on-campus classes will conduct. The suggested time is
- From Morning to 12 pm for BS(Hons) classes
- From 12-4 pm for the Master’s program
Now the colleges’ administration is waiting for the final approval from the government.
Registration for intermediate
With the reopening of colleges, the Education Department also suggested that the enrollment of 1st-year students will also start. The recommended date for the registration is 10 July 2020. Once the registration begins, students can register themselves online.
The final decision regarding the registration will be announced soon after the announcement of matric result.
