Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board Free Lance Program
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB) is an independent body established in 2011 at the provincial level to promote information technology in the province. Keeping in view the global boom in information technology and related services, there is an urgent need for necessary steps to be taken in the right direction to meet the demand for skilled manpower. With its head office based at Hayatabad Peshawar, the board is aiming to build and provide infrastructure and related services to enhance IT penetration in industry, government offices, and processes.
Strategic Goal:
“To accelerate digitization in all sectors and position the province as a global technology hub.”
The vision of this Freelance Program:
“More jobs, Better services, and improved governance through ICT’s.”
To fulfill its mandate of the infrastructure and services improvement in the province the board has completed over a dozen projects and some of them are in the pipeline. These projects are mainly related to IT infrastructure, capacity building, conferences, and seminars. KPITB has also established two IT parks in Peshawar and Abbottabad respectively to enhance its footprint to promote IT. Board has also planned to build a technology city near Peshawar.
