KPK Announced Facilitation for the Handicaped Students
On 21 May 2021, the Directorate of Higher Education KPK issued a letter to all public colleges of KPk to facilitate disabled students. The notification contains that the government received complaints about not facilitating the special students according to the instructions. Thus, in this regard, the KPK Government reissued the notification and ordered all institutes to implement them immediately.
Thus, below are the facilities that the KPK government announced for the special/physically disabled students.
- Colleges will refund all institutional charges to physically disabled students, such as general fund, tuition fee, library charges, hostel funds, utility bills etc.
- Colleges will build special pathways/ramps, toilets,/washrooms for the special students. However, the institutes will arrange the classroom on the ground floor.
- For the mobility within the college, the institutes will arrange special transport facilities.
- Colleges will allow disabled students to park their vehicles near the classes.
- Institutes will grant ten years of age relaxation to those students.
