The Khyber Pakhtukhwa Education Department issued a notification regarding the winter vacations 2022-23. According to the notification, the government canceled winter vacations in various KPK private and public schools. The purpose of canceling vacations is to cover the entire syllabus for exams. As the time period is short, students can only cover part of the syllabus. The working days for Academic Session 2022-23 need to be increased to complete the coursework in the schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Because of this, the KPK government decided to waive winter vacations in the summer zone of the province till any unusual change in the weather condition. Also, the Winter vacations in the winter zone have been reduced, and schools in the winter zone shall remain closed from 1st January 2022 to 15th February 2023. The government issued this notification after getting suggestions from students and overcoming the huge gap of working days in schools.
