Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Elementary and Secondary Education instructed the provincial government to immediately introduce a special anti-corona vaccination drive. The KPK government decided to vaccinate school going students from class IX to class XII and teachers of high and higher secondary schools. As schools are going to open, they decided to vaccinate students and teachers in order to protect them from COVID-19. They only vaccinate students of those schools where COVID-19 positivity rate is high. However, the KPK government sent a letter to the provincial government in this regard.
They also recommended that educational institutions divided into four categories which include; opening of all educational institutions with observance of general SOPs in areas with corona cases less than five percent, opening of classes from IX to XII in districts with 10 percent cases with observance of general SOPs.
